Remember God

When words fail and you’re unsure of the next step to take.  When life feels overwhelming and you’re weary and exhausted, it’s okay.  Take a moment and just do this one thing, remember God.  The power of remembrance. Recall his faithfulness of past to give you hope.  Remember his loving kindness that once rescued your soul.  Recount his promises and provisions that sustained you before.  Remember his grace that met us in our failure.  He did it before, He’ll do it again.  It’s okay to have feelings. It’s okay to not have it all together or figured out. It’s okay to struggle.  You’re not alone.  Breathe in, breathe out.  Pause.  And remember God.

The Local Church

The LOCAL CHURCH. The greatest and most powerful institution established by God, and that which is built on Jesus Christ.  The local church is HIS PEOPLE, not a building.  We are called to be the carriers of GOOD NEWS and hope that helps move people FORWARD. We are the light of the world, a city on a hill.  The church is the conduit for which sons and daughters can come home. To experience NEW LIFE and where rescue stories are told.  To belong. To be seen. To be heard. To come to life again.  The CHURCH, the people God is very much awake, alive and well.  We exist to make much about Jesus, and to reconnect sons and daughters to the father.  Rise up church. Be who God has called us to be. Do as Jesus did. And keep going!  We win, we win!!  Simon Peter answered, “ You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God!   And Jesus responded,  “Simon son of Jonah,  you are blessed because flesh and blood did not reveal this to...

Ever-Present

God is our refuge and strength, a helper who is always found in times of trouble. 2  Therefore we will not be afraid, though the earth trembles and the mountains topple into the depths of the seas, 3  though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with its turmoil. Psalm 46:1-3 What a powerful truth. Wind in our sails. Breath in our lungs. Blood flowing through our veins. It's life. To know that no matter what trials, struggles, challenges or hardships come our way, help is on the way. We are not helpless. Left to our own vices. Our father is our shelter, hiding place and refuge. He keeps us safe and secure. When we feel weak, he is our strength. He is always available.  In every season of life, we do not have to be afraid. If everything around us and within us is shaken, we can hold fast. Our hope is found in his love. Our peace is in his promises. God has never failed us. And he won't start now. If he said it, we believe it. And friend, he said it.

Limitless

When we come to Christ and receive his salvation as the atonement for our sins, an immediate exchange takes place. There is no delay. No waiting period or time lapse. It's instantaneous. We are instantly forgiven, and our debt is canceled. Our eternal destiny is changed in that moment - a transference from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of God. That is the power of the cross. The p ower of his love. There is no darkness that can overpower the cross. There is no pit deep enough that his love cannot find and pull us out. His love is unending.  The moment we acknowledge our need for a savior, believe Jesus is the only one able to forgive, and confess our sin,  our position before God is complete. It's secure. It's firm. It's forever. We are forever his. Everything is ours in him. (John 17:10)  If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. We are made brand new. The  old things have passed away, and new things  have come. (2 Corinthians 5:17) This is ...

Provision

God is not only my provider and the source but he himself is provision. Everything is mine in him. When I have him, I have everything. Easier said than lived out. It's been a process, but  over the past few years, God has been graciously and patiently walking me through deeper truths surrounding this theme of provisions, and that I am enough. Because he is enough, I am enough. I have everything I need, and will have everything I need to run my race well.   While financial and material provisions have been a part of the process, it's actually been more of a reconciliation process - me with my story up until this point. God wants me to tell a new narrative, from a healthier and clearer heart posture and mindset. And so he h as been gently  peeling away thin layers of fear, doubt and insecurity. He's been pruning, cutting away, making those "quarter of an inch turns." So I kept clinging to him. Persistently asking him to please teach and show me how to walk wholly ...

Undone

If you ever want to know "where I am," ask me what song I am listening to. Like most workdays, I put in my earbuds and listen to the audio bible, then worship music and or a podcast. As of late, it's been less podcasts and more audio bible and worship music. I don't have any particular "favorite" artist but Bethel music has been frequent during this season.  Sometimes I wish I was musically gifted and a creative artist in that lane because worship is super powerful and satisfying. ( I've always secretly wished I was a worship singer.)  It's beautiful in lyric and sound. I can get lost in the moment. An atmosphere of intimacy is created and I experience God in a profound way. It involves my entire being - mind, body, heart, soul. It's dynamic, effective and appears straight forward with the ability to speak and move people instantly. As if that gift has more of an  "ease" in the offering, the reaping and sowing, bearing of the fruit......
