Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to all the fathers and father figures. Most importantly, thank you God for being the perfect Father!

There are so many complex aspects and parts to being a dude. Many of which I will never fully understand and can only empathize in part. So for the dad's that feel they fall short, have failed, are not enough or have yet to accomplish what your heart desires, I see you. God sees you. Your commitment to your spouse and kids by showing up is HUGE. Thank you for digging deep and staying when it feels easier to retreat, hide or run. Thank you for all the ways you go out of your comfort zone, personality and natural abilities to be DAD. You are sowing good seeds, and it's making a difference. By the grace of God, I pray one day you'll be able to see the fruits of your labor and legacy. Brick by brick, layer by layer, inch by inch, you're building something great. Hang in there and keeping going. I celebrate and applaud you.

For some people, today is not celebratory or joyous but hard, painful, sad and even disappointing. My heart is with you. Whether you are missing your earthly father due to distance or death, or for those who re-live the ache of having an absent father, and for those who long to be a father but are yet, God is near and He sees you. And for those father's who cannot be with their children today, for whatever reason, my heart aches for you as well. God sees you. May his grace and healing powers touch every part of your soul and bring peace and rest. I pray that you would turn and look towards God as your perfect father and find help. May his love soften your heart and fill you with hope for brighter days and a bright future. May you be daily found in his shelter and care. God is our very good and perfect Father.

The one who lives under the protection of the Most High dwells in the shadow of the Almighty. Psalm 91:1
